9/11 REMEMBERED: "Stop the Violence" members pray for peace

 

LAWTON,Okla_Members of "Stop the Violence" gathered in Elmer Thomas Park Wednesday to honor the memory of those lost on 9-11.  
 
Pastor Sam Moyd put out the call for members of the clergy and supporters to join together and pray for peace.   

"Stop the Violence" has dedicated itself to stopping the violent crimes  in Lawton and bringing about change with the help of prayer.

    Today is the last day to apply for voter registration for the special elections in November. Anyone not registered to vote -- or needing to change registration information -- can do so by mailing a voter registration application form postmarked no later than midnight tonight. Application forms can be found at the County Election Board Office in the courthouse, as well as any post office, public library or motor vehicle licensing agency.
