Man dies in one-vehicle crash

Amarillo, TX - Police believe a medical emergency may have caused a crash that led to one man's death.

Saturday morning at Lakeside Drive and 3rd Avenue, police say the driver of an SUV crossed several lanes of traffic before crashing into a concrete pillar on the side of the road.

The driver died at the scene of the wreck, and his identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The Amarillo Police Traffic Investigation Squad continues to investigate the crash.
