Okla. Governor Reappoints Parker To State Regents

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Gov. Mary Fallin has reappointed Joseph Parker to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

Parker was first appointed to the State Regents in 2005 by former Gov. Brad Henry. Fallin announced his reappointment on Monday. Parker will serve a 9-year term pending confirmation by the Oklahoma Senate.

Parker is chairman of the board for Anchor Stone Co. in Tulsa, a company involved in the production of crushed limestone, sand and gravel and in heavy equipment brokerage. In addition, he also serves as the chairman for the Regents Investment Committee and co-chair for the Regents Online Education Task Force.

Parker also serves on numerous civic boards, including the Jasmine Moran Children's Museum, Oklahoma Innovation Institute and The Nature Conservancy's Oklahoma Chapter.

    The three teenagers who were killed after they allegedly broke into an Oklahoma home have been identified Authorities say three teenagers dressed in black and wearing masks and gloves broke into a Broken Arrow home through a back door Shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Officials told KFOR the homeowner’s son, 23, killed all three teens with an AR-15.
