Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla._

Lawton police say one of the children injured in a car wreck Friday when a daycare van was hit by a truck and tipped onto it's top, was hospitalized in serious condition.

The wreck happened around 9 a.m. Friday morning on Rogers Lane near  I-44. Witnesses said they saw a truck going east on Rogers Lane  through the Frontage Road intersection and hit an A-B-C Learning Center van turning left. The impact rolled the van onto its top.

Lawton police said the driver of the truck was released from the hospital and did have his blood drawn to test for alcohol or drugs.

Witnesses told police before the accident they saw the driver driving recklessly in and out of traffic before striking the daycare van.
