8 liner raid connected to Tuesday's drug sting

AMARILLO- The Drug Enforcement Administration confirmed Wednesday that an eight-liner slot machine bust in Amarillo on Tuesday night is connected to Tuesday's drug sting.

Thirteen individuals were arrested Tuesday in connection with a major drug trafficking ring in Amarillo. A two year investigation by the DEA, FBI, and local authorities led to the arrests.

NewsChannel 10 got exclusive video of authorities confiscating several slot machines from a building on Adams Street in between 7th Street and 8th last night. Potter County Attorney Scott Brumley says slot machines and an undisclosed amount of cash were confiscated.

Brumley says several of the suspects arrested on drug charges in Amarillo and Dalhart Tuesday will likely face gambling charges in the coming days.

All 12 men and one female remain in custody in the Randall County Jail.
