MEDICINE PARK, Okla._This weekend the town of Medicine Park was filled with music and art during the town's 4th annual flute festival & art walk.
Those who attended were invited to enjoy the cultural experience, purchase hand made gifts and of course to listen to talented flute players.
"We came to look at the art, there's lots and lots of beautiful art, my wife came to listen to the flutes, play the flutes and possibly buy a flute," said festival attendee Johnny Carroll.
And while many people enjoyed today's beautiful art or music, others that attended said for them it's a way of life and should be for everyone.
"It is a very soothing instrument, I had someone tell me yesterday if everyone in the world had a flute there would be no more wars and I think they may be on to something," said flute maker Joe Loftin.
The art on display was submitted by hundreds of artists last month. Some of them traveled hundreds of miles to attend.
