Car Accident Sends 3 People to Hospital

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla._ Lawton Police said three people went to the hospital Sunday night after a driver failed to yield to a stop sign.

It happened around 8:20 p.m. at northwest Cache Road and Hunter.

Police said the driver of the white SUV was southbound on Hunter Road and failed to yield at the intersection before making a left turn onto Cache Road. The driver collided with a second SUV west bound on Cache.

The impact caused the west bound vehicle to spin several times before coming to a rest in a ditch. East bound traffic was rerouted while west bound traffic was narrowed to one lane.

Despite the seriousness of the accident, police said all three people involved including a child went to the hospital with minor injuries.
