Cattle on road cause multi-car wreck on 287

Amarillo, TX - Two people taken to the hospital after hitting cattle on Highway 287 remain in non-life threatening condition.

The Department of Public Safety says around 9:00 Sunday night cattle got out on Highway 287, four miles north of the Canadian River.

The loose cattle on the road are being blamed for six separate vehicle accidents on both the north and southbound sides of the highway.
