Amarillo voters prepare to head to the polls for early voting

Amarillo, TX - We're less than one month away from November elections and voters in Amarillo and across the state are preparing to head to the polls.

In fact, many of them will starting Monday. October 21. Monday marks the first day of early voting which will continue through November first, before actual election day on November fifth.

If you're unsure where to go to cast your ballot, check your county's web site (listed below) for information on early voting locations.

Also, a reminder that a voter ID is required to vote in person in the State of Texas.

Voters in the Amarillo area will be asked to vote on nine propositions to the Texas State Constitution. They'll be asked to weigh in on 21 proposed changes to the Amarillo City Charter.

Finally, there is one City of Amarillo Special Bond Election issue on the ballot, asking voters to approve at $31.5 million bond to construct and maintain an Amarillo Recreation Complex.
