Lawton Rotary Club Gives Away Dictionaries

LAWTON Okla_ Lawton Public Schools is educating more than 1,100 3rd graders this year at its 23 elementary schools. Most of them are just learning to use the dictionary.

Thanks to the Greater Lawton Rotary Club, each of those students will have a personal copy to help them in the learning process during the years ahead.

"When you work with children, sometimes you don't get to see the impact you had in a child's life, but we still do things to try to benefit the children to go toward success in their life," GLRC Rotarian Stan Booker said.

The rotary club plans on visiting each Lawton elementary school to deliver hundreds of dictionaries.
