Veteran signatures travel across U.S. for Wounded Warriors

Posted: Updated:

Amarillo, TX - Wounded Warrior Veterans in Amarillo joined a lengthy list of names Saturday that's traveling across the country for the Wounded Warrior organization.

A special car is traveling across the United States and is being signed by veterans at every stop along the way. Saturday, it made its pit stop in Amarillo, continuing to raise money and awareness for Wounded Warriors.

Most of the money raised on its cross-country trip will help wounded veterans, more specifically, amputees. "It's homes built especially for the needs of those who are handicapped, so that they can go on and live a more normal life," said Curtis Green, a member of the Mustang Club of America.

The car's next stop will be in Lubbock and after it complete's its trip, it will be auctioned off by the Barrett-Jackson Company, and all of those proceeds will also be donated to Wounded Warriors.
