Marissa Silver

Marissa Silver joined the NewsChannel 10 team in October 2013 all the way from South Carolina.

This is not her first great adventure outside of SC, she attended Indiana University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Second Concentration in Communication and Culture.

Marissa's passion for Broadcasting started early on in elementary school when she was an Anchor for her school's morning show. Then during her senior year of high school she was a Sports Intern and High School Football Reporter at her hometown station, NBC WIS-TV News 10, in Columbia, SC. Then she loved news so much she did a News summer internship at WIS-TV during the summer before her junior year in college.

And most recently Marissa worked at WIS-TV News 10 as a News Content Specialist where she ran graphics during the weekday evening newscasts, helped out on the Assignment Desk, posted stories to their station's community website and also helped out with high school football on Friday nights.

But through all of that Marissa knew her passion was Reporting and has moved to Amarillo for just that! She is so excited to be here in Texas and to discover all it has to offer.

In her free time she loves meeting new people, hanging out with friends, watching movies and eating out. She also loves popcorn and sweet tea!

If you see her around town please say hello and welcome her to her new home in Texas. Also, if you have any great story ideas please send them to her at msilver@newschannel10.com.
