Plea deals reached in drug ring case

Amarillo, TX - Two of the 13 arrested in connection to a major drug ring in our area have pled guilty in federal court.

Floyd Teafatiller and Arcel Martinez both entered guilty pleas to parts of their involvement in a meth ring in Amarillo.

The operation was busted last month by local authorities and the DEA.

Teafatiller faces up to 40 years in prison and a five million dollar fine for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Martinez, also known as Cholango, faces four years in prison and a 250 thousand dollar fine for unlawful use of a communications facility.

Both are scheduled to be sentenced on January 7th next year.
