LAWTON, Okla_It's not quite winter but Tuesday afternoon, emergency managers from across southwest Oklahoma converged in Comanche County in hopes of staying one step ahead of old man winter.
"When you're out there and you're alone, you don't always know where to call. And you don't know there's somebody out there, but we're here. And we're always here. 24/7 you can always call emergency management. We don't ever sleep," said Edwards.
That's what officials say you can count on, when disaster strikes. Officials say they're working together to share information in order to make response times smoother.
