Fallin Reports More Than $1.2M In Campaign Fund

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The latest campaign filing reports show Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin has more than $1.2 million in her re-election campaign war chest, even though no other candidates have reported raising money to challenge her.

The campaign finance report filed late Thursday shows Fallin reported raising $342,000 during the three-month period from July 1 to Sept. 30, with about $1.2 million in cash on hand at the end of the quarter. Fallin didn't formally launch her re-election campaign until after the reporting period ended on Oct. 17.

Republican State Superintendent Janet Barresi reported raising $48,000 during the period and finished with about $150,000 cash on hand. Her GOP opponent - Joy Hofmeister of Tulsa - reported raising $82,000 during the quarter and finishing with $200,000 in cash on hand.
