Man Dies in Stephens County Accident

STEPHENS COUNTY, Okla- An accident at U.S. Highway 81 and Rose Road Saturday afternoon in Stephens County left one man dead.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 58-year-old Douglas McDonald died at Duncan Regional Hospital from massive injuries sustained in the crash.

The accident happened when a car headed eastbound on Rose Road failed to yield at a stop sign striking McDonald as he traveled southbound on U.S. 81 on his motorcycle just after 12 p.m. Saturday afternoon. McDonald was thrown more than 60 feet from his motorcycle upon impact.
