A Lawton man was charged Monday with intimidating a witness in a murder investigation following his arrest last Wednesday.
Wednesday, Lawton police arrested Carlos Melendez-Salazar after a man called police and said Salazar had threatened to kill him. Both men are witnesses in the shooting death of Jonathan Shepherd back in May. Kenneth Nobles is charged with 2nd degree murder in Shepherd's death.
According to a police report filed in September, this isn't the first time the victim was threatened by Salazar but it is the first time charges have been filed.
