Fort Sill soldier convicted of sexually assaulting young girl

Fort Sill- A Fort Sill soldier is facing more than 40-years in military prison for sexually abusing a young girl.

A judge found Sergeant Kristoffer Lenning guilty on several counts involving a girl between 12 and 16-years-old. The crimes happened in the Lawton area between November 2010 and July of 2011. He also faces a dishonorable discharge and reduction to lowest rank.

"The Oklahoman" newspaper reports Lenning is the fifth soldier from Fort Sill to be convicted of sexual misconduct involving a child since July of last year.
