Group Wants Okla. AG Off School Storm Shelter Case

Posted: Updated:

OKLAHOMA CITY Okla_ The group that's been trying to get a bond issue on the ballot to pay for storm shelters in Oklahoma schools now wants the state's attorney general off the case.

"Shelter Oklahoma" sent the request to the state Supreme Court after they say Scott Pruitt rewrote the ballot title to make it less appealing to voters. If passed, the measure would pull from the state's franchise tax to pay the $500 million plan. They're also asking for 90 more days to gather signatures due to the fight over the title change.

Pruitt calls the claims untruthful.
