Lawton_A heartwarming reunion Friday, as a Fort Sill soldier, just back from a year-long deployment, surprised his daughter at her preschool in Lawton.
Specialist Fernando Banda had been stationed in South Korea. He arrived home from his deployment a few days earlier than expected.
His wife, Dinora, and he hatched the plan Friday morning to surprise little Brissia at her preschool, and her teachers at Beginnings Academy were happy to help.
"It was a tough year, being away from my wife, and my daughter and my son," said Specialist Banda.
"Having him back with our family-- we're complete," said Brissia's mother, Dinora.
The family moves to Fort Bliss, Texas, next week, for a new assignment. They're happy they'll go as a family.
