Police Investigate Reported Kidnapping Attempt

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla._

Lawton police were called to investigate a possible kidnapping attempt after a mother called police and said her son witnessed it.

Friday a 16-year-old boy told police he was walking near Northwest Carroll Drive just off of Ft. Sill Boulevard when he heard a child screaming. He said when he looked up he saw a man trying to push the screaming child into a white Cadillac that had chipped paint on the back.

The teen said he yelled at the man, scaring him. He said the man threw the child to the ground and drove away. A victim has not come forward. The witness was not able to give police a description of the man.
