Earthquakes Reported in Edmond Area

EDMOND, Okla. (AP) _ More earthquakes have been reported in the Edmond area.

Preliminary reports from the U.S. Geological Survey show that a 3.3 magnitude earthquake struck near Edmond at about 5 a.m. Monday. The USGS says the earthquake's epicenter was 6 miles northeast of Edmond and 18 miles north-northeast of Oklahoma. The earthquake had a depth of 3.9 miles.

Another earthquake was reported near Edmond about 12 hours earlier at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Preliminary USGS data show that earthquake had a magnitude of 3.4 and was centered about 4 miles north-northeast of Edmond. The Sunday earthquake had a depth of 3.3 miles.

No damage or injuries were reported with either quake, though many residents reported feeling the rumbling.
