California man arrested for driving meth through Texas panhandle

Amarillo, TX - State troopers find more than five pounds of methamphetamine on Interstate 40.

In a traffic stop near Conway Thursday, troopers found four bundles of meth, worth nearly $200,000 dollars, hidden in the spare tire of a vehicle.

Troopers believe the drugs were on their way from California to Atlanta, Georgia.

The driver, 60 year-old Lorenzo Gutierrez Lopez of California is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
