LPD: Elderly Woman Sexually Assaulted in Own Backyard

LAWTON Okla_ Lawton police are investigating a brutal sexual assault of an elderly woman, and they say the person who did it was her 14-year-old neighbor.

Police were called to a Northwest Lawton neighborhood near Fort Sill Blvd. and Rogers Lane to investigate reports of someone screaming. They followed the screams to the backyard of a home where they found a 78-year-old woman lying on the ground screaming. She said was sexually assaulted by her 14-year-old neighbor.

She was outside when he jumped the fence and sexually assaulted her. The 14-year-old has been arrested.
