Man arrested for assaulting two Amarillo Police Officers

Amarillo, TX - A man was arrested after assaulting two Amarillo Police Officers.

Police say Bryson Chandler was arrested on Monday after officers were called out to a restaurant because Chandler was causing a disturbance because his credit cards were declined.

Police then discovered he had two outstanding Bond Surrender felony warrants.

Police say Chandler resisted a search and was placed under arrest. Once inside the patrol car Chandler began slamming his head on the divider between the front and back seat and as the officers went to place him in a protective helmet he head butted them.

The officers called for back up and Chandler was restrained and taken to the Randall County Jail.

Chandler is being charged with two counts of Assault on a Public Servant, Resisting Arrest/Search/Transport, Theft of Service over $20 less than $500 and two outstanding Bond Surrender warrants/
