Amarillo, TX - A 10 year old boy is recovering after being struck by an SUV Thursday.
Amarillo police say at around 6:00 Thursday evening a group of people attempted to cross Washington street, just north of Woflin street when a 10 year old boy was hit.
The driver of the SUV stopped, but while people were attending to the boy the driver drove off.
The boy was taken to the hospital where he was treated and later released.
The driver later turned them self into police.
The case is being presented to the 47th District Attorney's office for further review.
