Winter Weather Prompts Event Reschedules

The mild winter mix that included snow and freezing rain caused some local public events to be canceled.

Here is a list of those events with their new times, as well as some Wednesday church services that have been canceled. Below those, you will find links and phone numbers to OK and TX road conditions.

Events Rescheduled for This Weekend

Due to the inclement weather this past weekend, the following events have been rescheduled:

Fishing for Food Event at Lake Helen in Elmer Thomas Park will be rescheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 7:00 a.m.

Holiday in the Park Christmas Parade will be rescheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Elmer Thomas Park.

Frost Ya' Fanny 5K – 1 mile Race will be rescheduled for Sunday, December 8, 2013 starting at 4:45 p.m. Candy Cane Race for children, 1 mile Race at 5:00 p.m. and the 5K race at 5:30 p.m.

Church Closings and Changes

Lawton Grace and Truth Kingdom Harvest: Closed Wednesday.

Lawton St. Elmo Baptist: All services have been canceled for Wednesday.
