Police seek driver in hit & run that injured two

Amarillo, TX - Police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run wreck that sent two people to the hospital.

At around 12:30 Monday afternoon, police say the driver of a car was speeding south on the Canyon E-way and rear-ended an SUV, which caused his car to flip into the roadway near Washington Street.

Four people inside that car fled the scene on foot, but shortly returned without the driver.

The driver of the SUV and one person from the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police are working to identify and track down the driver of the car.
