A Lawton man accused of second degree murder is back in jail, after he was found in possession of a stolen gun.
Comanche County deputies were on routine patrol near Southwest 7th and Park Avenue when two men and a woman were seen arguing. One of the men was identified as Kenneth Nobles. Nobles was charged with 2nd degree murder, in May of this year, after the victim, Jonathan Sheppard, was killed in a shooting. While detained, Nobles told police he had a gun in his pocket and he tried to conceal it when he saw the deputy's patrol car. The man he was with gave it to him to look at, he says, and he was interested in buying it, he also admitted knowing the gun was stolen. The other man admitted to the stolen gun, he says he stole it during a home burglary in Geronimo last week. Both men were arrested.
