Fourth candidate announces bid for Potter County Judge

Amarillo, TX - Another person has announced their candidacy for Potter County Judge.

Bill Bandy is both a farmer and a businessman and has been a resident of Potter County for the last 23 years.

Bandy has experience in politics having worked as a Legislative Assistant, District Director and Campaign Manager for Representative David Swinford.

He most recently was appointed by Mayor Paul Harpole to serve as the 2013 and 2014 Committee Chairman for the Amarillo Community Development Advisory Committee.

He is the fourth person to announce for the position.

    A Duncan man is in the hospital after attempting to run over a sheriff’s deputy. Chris Culberson, 34, along with a passenger were shot and wounded following a car pursuit near Gun Club Road and Mission Road. Culberson drove the vehicle at the officer. The officer then fired several rounds. Culberson remains hospitalized. The passenger was treated and released. The deputy was taken to a hospital to be treated for an ankle injury.
