Top 16 logo designs presented to City

Posted: Updated:
Amarillo, TX -

The City is closer to picking a new logo, after the top 16 designs were presented to City Councilmen Tuesday.

The top designs received the most votes during the Globe News Competition aimed at finding a new logo. This comes after the City was forced to abandon it's original choice, that resembled a design from Dubai.

Now, the top designs will be presented to a panel of graphic artist and marketing professionals before a final one is selected.

We're told that decision won't be made until sometime in January.

The winner of the parody design competition was 12 year old Trent Connolly, who came up with the design and slogan "Amarillo, it's better than it smells."
