Coburn blasts budget agreement on Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON (AP) _ U.S. Senator Tom Coburn says a bipartisan budget agreement hammered out on Capitol Hill fails to address wasteful spending that's contributing to a ballooning federal debt.

The Oklahoma Republican says the deal announced yesterday likely was the best that could be achieved at this time, but says he can't support it. The agreement would restore around $63 billion in automatic spending cuts.
