Lawton_A toxicology report has revealed the presence of drugs in the woman who hit and killed a man with her car as he walked across Interstate 44 last year.
Misty Yeats, 53, was charged with manslaughter in September. Court records in the case now show she was under the influence of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Authorities say she was driving with a revoked license when she hit and killed Harold Otts, a 56-year old homeless man, on Labor Day. Otts was walking across the highway near the Gore Boulevard exit when he was struck. Surveillance video from a nearby business showed Yeats hitting the brakes, and swerving to avoid Otts before he was struck by the right front of her vehicle. She then pulled to the shoulder of the exit ramp.
Yeats' case is set to go to trial in January.
