Woman Arrested for Hitting Security Officer

LAWTON, Okla.- A woman is behind bars Sunday after assaulting a security officer at a Lawton bar.

Police were called to the VFW on SW 2nd Street just after 1 a.m. Saturday morning for a woman refusing to leave after she caused a disturbance.

27-year-old Dee Dee Colbert then struck the security officer two times, once on the nose and then once in the mouth leaving visible injuries.

Colbert also attempted to get away from police by breaking the back window of the patrol car with her feet.

She was taken to the Lawton City Jail, and charged with assault and battery.

She was also found to have six outstanding warrants with a total bond amount of more than $30,000.
