Teen Involved In Okla. Pharmacy Shooting Arrested

Posted: Updated:

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A teenager convicted for his role in a fatal shooting during an attempted armed robbery at an Oklahoma City pharmacy has been arrested after being shot.

Jevontai Ingram was reportedly in custody Wednesday after being treated for a gunshot wound to the head.

Police say they were called Tuesday to a Moore apartment complex, where officers found nothing suspicious. Moments later, Ingram walked into a hospital with the gunshot wound.

Officials say Ingram's wound is not life-threatening. Authorities are holding him on outstanding warrants for failing to pay fines and fees stemming from his previous convictions.

Ingram was convicted of murder when he was 14 for involvement in the 2009 shooting in which pharmacist Jerome Ersland shot and killed Ingram's accomplice, 16-year-old Antwan Parker. Ingram was convicted as a youthful offender and was released from custody in 2012.
