Santa sighting at local pawn shop

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla._Santa brought a little sunshine to Lawton's dark and gloomy Friday.

He was spotted posted outside Lawton's Frog's Pawn Shop on Lee Blvd. waiving to all who passed by.

For the 3rd year in a year store employee Mike Owens dressed as Saint Nick, and this year made  his look a little more authentic and started growing a beard in May.

Owens said he does it each year because he loves how it makes people feel.

"I just like the smiles and the waves and to get to see the little kids, you get to see them grin." "It adds a little bit to everyday, everybody, everyday, said Owens."

Santa or Owens posted outside the pawn shop from 10:00 a.m. Friday morning until 6:00 p.m.
