Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla. - Three men were robbed at gunpoint in a northwest Lawton neighborhood Thursday night.

The first armed robbery happened just before 9 p.m. Thursday evening in the 2100 block of NW 38th Street.

The victim said he was walking home from work when a man approached him, pulled a gun, and demanded his wallet.

The suspect took all the cash from the wallet before handing it back to the victim and running away.

Then only 10 minutes later, a second robbery happened not far away at NW 38th Street and Lincoln Avenue. A Lawton Police Officer was waved over by two men who said they were just robbed by a black male at gunpoint.

At this time, police have no evidence to prove the two robberies are connected.
