LAWTON, Okla._ The Comanche County Sheriff's Department will be improving their vehicles in February.
The County Commissioners approved Monday the purchase of two, 2012 Chevrolet Tahoes.
The new vehicles will allow the department to retire two older vehicles with high mileage and maintenance issues.
The SUV's are being paid for through money generated by the 2007 sales tax and are being bought from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The cars will come stocked with LED lights and sirens and have less than 50,000 miles on them.
