Texas DPS Top 10 fugitive caught in Amarillo

Rojelio Reyes Rojelio Reyes

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A violent convicted felon and gang member on the Texas Department of Public Safety's 10 Most Wanted list has been captured in Amarillo.

Investigators say 32-year-old Rojelio Reyes was caught Wednesday at a mobile home thanks to a tip.

DPS on Monday announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Reyes on parole violation counts. Agency officials say Reyes was released from a Texas prison last August but failed to report to his parole officer in Amarillo, where he's from.

Records show Reyes has a criminal history including aggravated assault, drug counts and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
