Geo Inmate Found Dead in Cell

LAWTON Okla_ In addition to the double homicide on Columbia Monday morning, a third homicide was reported, this one at Geo prison.

Lawton police say there was an assault this morning around 7:20AM. They say the victim was an inmate who'd been assaulted. He was found lying on his jail cell floor and was taken to the infirmary at the prison. He was then taken to Southwestern Medical Center and then transported where medical staff pronounced him dead shortly after 9:00AM. The victim's name is not being released until police notify his family. Geo prison officials are not releasing any further information at this time.
