Man dies in highway rollover

Amarillo, TX - One person is dead in a single-vehicle rollover accident east of Amarillo.

Troopers say the wreck happened just after 4:00 p.m. Friday on US 287, five miles east of Interstate 40.

The driver lost control of his vehicle, causing it to overturn and land in the shoulder.

The driver, who troopers believe was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

No other occupants were in the vehicle.
