Teen Shot During Attempted Robbery

LAWTON, Okla.- A 15-year-old girl is shot in the leg during an attempted robbery late Friday night on Lawton's west side.

The teen and two friends were walking home from the Ez-Go Convenience Store at 67th and Gore when they were approached by 2 black men in the area NW 63rd Street and Euclid.

The victims said that the men demanded that the teens give them all the things they were carrying.

The teens refused and took off running. That's when one of the men fired a shot hitting the 15-year-old in the thigh. Her injuries are not life-threatening.

Lawton Police are investigating the incident.
