LAWTON, Okla._ The city council here renewed its contract with McDonald Transit Associates to continue operating the Lawton Area Transit System.
The council unanimously decided Tuesday night on the action which will give LATS a two percent increase each year for the first three years of the contract. The city spends roughly $150,000 annually for the service.
The current contract is set to expire in March. This new, five-year contract, will keep LATS under the same management until at least 2019.
