Lawton Police identify victim in city's 6th homicide

LAWTON, Okla._Lawton Police have identified the victims in Friday afternoon's deadly shooting as 21 year old Julian Humphrey, making this the city's sixth homicide. 

Police were called to a home near SW 26th Street and Lee Boulevard just before 1:20 p.m. Friday afternoon. 

The caller reported to the dispatcher that a man had been shot and was no longer breathing.

Officers arrived on the scene and found the man lying on the floor of the home with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crime scene investigators and detectives actively searched the home and its front yard throughout the afternoon, looking at footprints and for evidence.

But police have yet to identify the victim.

The crime scene remained open Friday, but no arrests have been made in connection to the crime.
