If you look on the Internet you won't find the name Erica Kenner with any previous news stations, that's because Erica Kenner is a newlywed. Erica is thrilled to be in Lawton and proud to debut her new name as the anchor for the 4pm and 5pm newscasts at KSWO! You will find Erica Shaffer (same face, different name) has been a reporter and fill in anchor for WZTV in Nashville and before that, a feature reporter and MMJ with WTOL in Toledo, Ohio.

Before beginning her professional career, Erica was given a chance to be a freelance reporter while still in college with a local news station in northeast Georgia. Erica has also held internships with Fox 5 Sports in Atlanta, WAGT in Augusta, Georgia and Palestra.net an online website for college sports. Erica attended the University of Georgia where she earned two degrees: Broadcast Journalism and Romance Languages.

Erica is very passionate when it comes to covering news stories. Erica says the best part of her job is getting to meet a variety of people and telling their stories. Erica also loves sports, especially football. In her free time she likes to attend or watch any sporting event she can. She also enjoys dancing, traveling, speaking different languages and hiking with her husband and dogs.

Erica is married to Army Captain Maurice Kenner, who is currently stationed at Fort Sill. They have two furbabies named Cali and Lombardi.
