107 bundles of marijuana seized in I-40 traffic stop

Bushland, TX - Over one hundred pounds of marijuana is taken off the streets during a traffic stop on I-40 in Potter County.

A DPS trooper stopped a Volkswagen Passat near Bushland on Sunday afternoon. During the stop the trooper says he found 107 bundles of marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle.

The estimated street value of the drugs is 484,000 dollars.

Vianca Casas of Livingston, California, and Carlos Castrejon of Winton, California were both charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Officials believe the drugs were being transported from Livingston, to Dallas.
