Roads closures are set to begin Monday

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla._Starting Monday, your morning commute may include a few detours as construction begins on the I-44 and Cache on-ramps.

For the next 270 days I-44 northbound to westbound Cache Road will be closed. Second Street, north of Ferris Avenue will also be closed to traffic headed north towards I-44. The closure will allow crews to begin working on the bridge system connecting Cache Road, Second Street, and I-44.

The closure is set to begin at 8:00 a.m. Monday morning and other roads in the area will be closed as construction progresses in the area.
