Special Crimes investigating early morning homicide

Amarillo, TX -

A local man is arrested Saturday morning, after Amarillo police found a man dead inside a South Amarillo apartment. 

Officers say a female victim was also found with several injuries. They say she was transported to medical facility in Lubbock, where she is being treated.

Police are calling this incident a homicide and say the male victim is being identified as Nathaniel Wayne Miller.

Officers say Joseph Keith Hayes was booked into the Potter County Correction Center for Murder and Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon against a family member. 

Amarillo Special Crimes continues to investigate this incident and asks anyone with information to call 378-9468.
