CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) - A registered sex offender has been indicted by a grand jury in Corpus Christi on one count of aggravated kidnapping and 10 counts of aggravated sexual assault for an abduction and attack last October.
Fifty-year-old Rudy Rubio, of Corpus Christi, also is charged with impersonating a public servant and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
He's jailed without bond.
The Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports (http://bit.ly/OnHnop) Saturday the charges are related to an attack on a 23-year-old woman who identified Rubio as the man who stopped her car, identified himself as a police officer, then abducted her and tied her up before assaulting her repeatedly. She also said he forced her to swallow pills and take cocaine.
Records show Rubio had a 2003 conviction for indecency with a child.
