UPDATE: Woman arrested for overnight stabbing

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla._ Police say they've arrested a woman in connection with a stabbing early Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to Crosby Park Apartments at 55th and NW Cache Road around 12:30 a.m. They say they found a 20-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital. His condition is not known, but police say his wounds are not life-threatening.

Detectives say the suspect, 22-year-old Michelle Tubby of Oklahoma City, left the area, but later came back and told detectives who she was and what she had done. After interviewing her and witnesses, detectives booked Tubby into the Lawton City Jail on an assault with a dangerous weapon complaint.

Investigators say they will not release a motive until the case is presented to the district attorney and a decision is made on whether to charge Tubby.
